MARCEL DZAMA
Multidisciplinary Artist
Born in Winnipeg, Canada, Dzama rose to prominence for his intricate ink and watercolor drawings and has since exhibited globally, with his work held in major museum collections. His practice blends historical reference and poetic abstraction, creating worlds that feel both intimate and expansive.
Marcel Dzama has developed a distinctive visual language that explores human behavior, motivation, and the boundaries between reality and the subconscious. Drawing on folk traditions as well as art-historical and contemporary sources, his work conjures a world of childhood fantasy and fairy-tale imagery.
The HOSH x Marcel Dzama drop continues HOSH’s commitment to collaborating with artists whose work challenges perception and expands cultural dialogue to a state where art, fashion, and narrative move together without constraint. While not Native American or First Nations himself, Marcel has an appreciation and high regard for Native American and First Nations art, and this collaboration seeks to amplify HOSH’s mission of educating new audiences.

“The new work explores the theme of an apocalypse caused by climate change,” says Dzama. Inspired by the revolutionary spirit of Dada, Marcel Duchamp, and Federico García Lorca, while also infusing a touch of escapism without borders.
